Lack of Support for Military

Uncertainty in Agriculture

Montana has no laws regulating AI or data centers. This is being demonstrated by small communities fighting to keep them out. Our Republican legislature has made it difficult for them to do that. There is a data center planned for Yellowstone County, and Missoula has recently stopped one.

Public Lands are affected by changing environmental policies. These changes are increasing wildfire risk. Trump has dismantled protections for wildlife and roadless areas as well as trying to sell parts of Yosemite.

Pay-to-Play system benefits Trump’s wealthy donors by granting political appointments, pardons, regulatory relief, and foreign policy.

IRS immunity deal between Trump and his former personal attorney

Rampant stock trading while moving markets as well as shady crypto deals that leave other investors holding the bag.

Out of Control Spending

Inflation

Consumer Price Index (CPI) year-over-year figures are:

CPI in 2025 2.7%

CPI in 2026 3.4%

Nearly half of all US households cannot afford essentials such as housing, food, childcare, heating and cooling the home and gas / diesel for vehicles and equipment. Costs are rising much faster than incomes including Housing (+34%) and electricity (+41%) since 2019.

Affordability Crisis

Trump's Policies have affected troops and veterans negatively due to a number of reasons.

High-profile firings, resignations and retirements in the top military ranks have changed the culture and readiness. Elon Musk has been put in charge of a War Commission to help determine the future of "warfare" that will create conflicts of interest.

The Department of Veterans Affairs has cut staff, closed offices, and canceled numerous contracts.

Trumps policies are harming farmers and ranchers. The war in Iran has affected the costs and availability of fertilizer and caused huge increases in diesel fuel costs. Tariffs have raised costs for seeds, farm equipment and other essential farming supplies. Trade wars are harming export markets for farm products. Cuts to USDA contracts and office closures have made it more difficult for farmers. Cuts in food assistance programs and farm to table school lunch programs have taken some markets from farmers.

The Iran war has cost over $44 billion of taxpayer dollars so far. Trump is spending taxpayer monies on vanity projects such as an unwanted arch, ballroom and trying to destroy the Kennedy Center. We are $40 Trillion in debt!! Tax cuts for the wealthy have been funded by cuts to healthcare and food assistance programs.
